My take on the phenomenal piece of theatre by Sir Ian Mckellen for Macbeth in 1976.
I decided to go for a bit more of 13th century look for Macbeth despite the fact that the story is based on an 11th-century character. This is simply because there are way more illustrated examples available from the 1200s than from the 1000s, and it’s not even close. The household soldier and the page also definitely have a more 13th century look.
For the BG too I looked at medieval examples from the 13th century. I was avoiding a drab dungeon-like look because I have recently been surprised by the brightness and richness of the colors used in medieval decor. I just went along with this recent fascination of mine. The examples I used are all from 13th to 14th century.
