Jamun Ka Ped is a political webcomic that documents the harmful policies and divisive, ethnonationalist politics of the present Indian dispensation. Meher Manda researches and writes the content for the webcomics, and I illustrate them.
Each webcomic is created topically to reflect a contemporary political concern or policy that demands urgent introspection or critique. After research, Meher writes each comic in an accessible but poetic form and shares ideas with Mayukh for the illustrations that are often inspired by images and videos prevalent in news media. The comics are then uploaded to Instagram, Twitter, and Medium for easy access.
